City
A city is a large and permanent human settlement. Although there is no agreement on how a city is distinguished from a town in general English language meanings, many cities have a particular administrative, legal, or historical status based on local law.
Cities generally have complex systems for sanitation, utilities, land usage, housing, and transportation. The concentration of development greatly facilitates interaction between people and businesses, benefiting both parties in the process, but it also presents challenges to managing urban growth.
A big city or metropolis usually has associated suburbs and exurbs. Such cities are usually associated with metropolitan areas and urban areas, creating numerous business commuters traveling to urban centers for employment. Once a city expands far enough to reach another city, this region can be deemed a conurbation or megalopolis. In terms of population, the largest city proper is Shanghai, while the fastest-growing is Dubai.
Origins
There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.

There are 281 municipalities in the U.S. state of Washington. State law determines the various powers its municipalities have.
City classes
Legally, a city in Washington can be described primarily by its class. There are five classes of cities in Washington:
First class cities are cities with a population over 10,000 at the time of reorganization and operating under a home rule charter. They are permitted to perform any function specifically granted them by Title 35 RCW (Revised Code of Washington). Among them are Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Vancouver, and Yakima.
Second class cities are cities with a population over 1,500 at the time of reorganization and operating without a home rule charter. Like first class cities, they are permitted to perform any function specifically granted them by Title 35 RCW. Among them are Port Orchard, Wapato, and Colville.
Towns are municipalities with a population of under 1,500 at the time of reorganization. Towns are not authorized to operate under a charter. Like the previously listed cities, they are permitted to perform any function specifically granted them by Title 35 RCW. Among them are Steilacoom, Friday Harbor, Eatonville, and Waterville. In 1994, the legislature made 1,500 the minimum population required to incorporate.

Texas has a total of 254 counties, many cities, and numerous special districts, the most common of which is the independent school district.
County
Texas has a total of 254 counties, by far the largest number of counties of any state.
Each county is run by a five-member Commissioners' Court consisting of four commissioners elected from single-member districts (called commissioner precincts) and a county judge elected at-large. The county judge does not have authority to veto a decision of the commissioners court; the judge votes along with the commissioners (being the tie-breaker in close calls). In smaller counties, the county judge actually does perform judicial duties, but in larger counties the judge's role is limited to serving on the commissioners court and certifying elections. Certain officials, such as the sheriff and tax collector, are elected separately by the voters, but the commissioners court determines their office budgets, and sets overall county policy. All county elections are partisan, and commissioner precincts are redistricted after each ten year Census both to equalize the voting power in each and in consideration of the political party preferences of the voters in each.

A city is a large and permanent human settlement. Although there is no agreement on how a city is distinguished from a town in general English language meanings, many cities have a particular administrative, legal, or historical status based on local law.
Cities generally have complex systems for sanitation, utilities, land usage, housing, and transportation. The concentration of development greatly facilitates interaction between people and businesses, benefiting both parties in the process, but it also presents challenges to managing urban growth.
A big city or metropolis usually has associated suburbs and exurbs. Such cities are usually associated with metropolitan areas and urban areas, creating numerous business commuters traveling to urban centers for employment. Once a city expands far enough to reach another city, this region can be deemed a conurbation or megalopolis. In terms of population, the largest city proper is Shanghai, while the fastest-growing is Dubai.
Origins
There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.

by: AzadWenn man heute von den wichtigsten Rap-Zentren im Hip Hop-Kontext spricht, fallen in
erster Linie Städtenamen wie Hamburg, Berlin oder Stuttgart. Dazu stößt dann noch
meist das gesamte Ruhrgebiet mit den Hochburgen Minden und Dortmund. Frankfurt
dagegen wird trotz des erfolgreichen Labels 3P aus der Rödelheimer Vorstadt oft erst
in zweiter Linie erwähnt. Bestes Beispiel für Zweitklassigkeit ist D-Flame. Der
Ur-Frankfurter ist beim Hamburger Label Eimsbush unter Vertrag. Die neue Hauptstadt
und der Ruhrpott haben der Bankmetropole mittlerweile ebenfalls den Rang in Sachen
Underground-Hip Hop abgelaufen. Dabei gelten die Headz aus Mainhatten Anfang der
90er noch als die härtesten und gefürchtetsten Straßenjungs in der deutschen Hip
Hop-Szene. So werden damals auch schon mal Jams und Konzerte auseinandergenommen.
Doch nun meldet sich mit Azad eine Frankfurter Rap-Legende eindrucksvoll zurück.
Nach den Maxis "Napalm" und "Gegen den Strom" steht ab Ende Mai
2001 sein Debutalbum "Leben" in den Läden.Azads Hip Hop-Roots lassen sich
bis ins Jahr '88 verfolgen. Als kurdisches Flüchtlingskind findet er schwer
Anschluss in den kalten, deutschen Landen. Einziger Bezugspunkt für Azad ist damals
die Hip Hop-Kultur. Bereits mit 14 rockt er zusammen mit A-Bomb, Combad und D-Flame
als Cold-N-Locco so manche Shows. Zwei Jahre später wird der Name in Asiatic
Warriors geändert. Der martialische Name ist durchaus Programm für das roughe
Auftreten der Frankfurter. Die Mixtur aus harten, englisch-deutsch-und
türkischsprachigen Reimen und harten Beats steht stellvertretend für die
Ghetto-Attitude der Headz aus der Mainmetropole. Die Warriors sorgen 1994 mit der
beim Ruff'n'Raw-Label gedroppten EP "Told Ya!" überregional für Aufsehen.
Kurz danach löst sich die Gruppe aber leider auf, ohne die Früchte für ihre Arbeit
zu ernten.Azad verschwindet eine Zeitlang in der Versenkung. Erst Ende '97 taucht
sein Name wieder in der Hip Hop-Presse auf, unter der Rubrik Tratsch und Klatsch.
Azad unterschreibt bei Moses Pelhams 3p-Label. Zu einer Zeit, in der Moses P noch
als prolliger Pop-Rapper gilt, sorgt dieser Schritt eines Old-School Underdogs für
Unverständnis in der dogmatischen Szene. Nicht nur sein Ex-Partner D-Flame findet es
ein bisschen komisch. Im Nachhinein klären sich die Fronten jedoch. Azad kennt Moses
P und Thomas H (Rödelheim Hartreim Projekt) schon aus alten Basketball-Tagen, damals
bildete man die lockere Hip Hop-Crew Final Frontier. Zudem erobert Moses seine
Streetcredibility zurück, indem er Kollabos mit Leuten wie den Stieber Twins,
Eißfeldt oder den Spezialitz startet. Azad profitiert vom 3p-Umfeld und kann so
seinen Rapstyle als Feature-Artist bei den Labelkollegen Bruda Sven
("Front") und Illmatic ("Trauma") präsentieren. Zudem hört man
ihn immer wieder auch auf Mix-Tapes ("First There Waz The Word",
"Ming" von Roey Marquis; beide gibt es auch auf Platte). Aber Azad rappt
nicht nur, er kreiert auch deepe Beats. Die Remixe für Moses Pelham ("Mein
Glück") und Bruda Sven ("Ein und Alles") belegen dies. Selbst an den
Turntables beweist er sein Talent. Gemeinsam mit seinem seit Jahren erfolgreich
rollenden Turntablism-Team "Transformers" (mit DJ Drago, Twister und
Release) gewinnt er 1998 den "Da Swing DJ Battle" und wird mit diesem bis
Ende des Jahres 2001 eine 12" Maxi veröffentlichen. Seine große
Skillsbreitseite kann man jetzt auf dem Album "Leben" bewundern. Azad
scratcht, produziert und rappt, das es eine wahre Freude ist. So wird er bestimmt
noch für einigen Wirbel in der Hip Hop-Szene sorgen. Doch dass er sich auch viele
Gedanken über seine eigenen Aussagen macht, stellt dieses lesenswerte Statement über
die Benutzung des Begriffes "schwul" dar:"Klar sag ich solche Sachen,
aber es kommt darauf an, wie du sie auffasst. Man kann auch ein Bild aus etlichen
Richtungen betrachten und aus jeder Richtung sieht es anders aus. Ich hab nichts
gegen Schwule und gerade als Kurde will ich der letzte sein, der in irgendeiner Form
diskriminierend ist. Ich will, dass jeder sein Leben leben kann, ohne dass irgendwie
klassifiziert wird. Für mich sind solche Worte halt Alltag,
